    Biosecurity risk analysis

    ??The Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment is responsible for assessing the biosecurity risks associated with the import of a range of goods from overseas.

    Risk analyses may be conducted in response to new information about biosecurity risks or to an import proposal.

    The analysis may be conducted as a:

    • Biosecurity Import Risk Analysis, under the Biosecurity Act 2015, or
    • Non-regulated risk analysis, reviewing existing biosecurity measures.
